Xiaomi launches a Makeup Mirror that doubles as a power bank


Xiaomi has launched a portable power bank that also has the features of a makeup mirror. The product isn’t manufactured directly by Xiaomi but by one of its ecological chain companies. The power bank and mirror are combined in one and comes with a dimension of 85x76x17mm, making it portable enough to fit into a lady’s handbag. The gadget is even affordable as it is priced at 129 yuan (~$18).
The power bank is designed to deliver emergency power as it is just a 3000mAh battery with 5V/1A input and output.
The makeup mirror is surrounded by 12 high-brightness LED lamp beads which emit a colour temperature and light that simulates natural light, making the fill light uniform and natural. The brightness can be adjusted according to the level the user wants, which in turn is dependent on the level of illumination of the environment. The makeup mirror also has 2x magnifying glass design. Thus, despite the portable size, the objects are much clearer without any distortion.
When the button is pressed for a short time, the fill light will slowly turn on after 1 second, and the adjustment from low brightness to high brightness will be completed within 3 seconds. After releasing the hand, press the button again, and the light will slowly darken after 1 second. The adjustment from the highest brightness to the lowest brightness is completed within 3 seconds. If the mirror is closed, the fill light is automatically turned off.
When the battery power left gets to 10%, the mirror illuminating light beads automatically turns off, while the mirror turns into a portable small mirror. However, the fill light function can still be used for about 1 hour to continuously illuminate your makeup session.
